According to the developers, the online multiplayer portion of Supermassive Games’ The Quarry has been delayed to July 8 at the latest.
Supermassive Games released a statement on Twitter on May 26 confirming the delay, but did not specify the reason for the withdrawal of online multiplayer play.

“We have made the difficult decision to postpone online multiplayer to give you the best experience,” the statement read. “However, it’s not a great expectation; online multiplayer will be added by July 8.
The game is still scheduled for June 10, but according to the announcement, it will only include Local Couch Co-Op; movie mode; And a single-player campaign. In The Quarry, players will take control of nine different characters as they try to survive the last night of summer camp. Like its predecessor, Before Dawn, anyone can live and anyone dies in The Quarry, so games will always be unpredictable for players playing alone or with a friend.
The Quarry is set to release on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series S/X, and PC Steam on June 20.
