with the launch Season 1 from battlefield 2042 almost upon us, DICE confirms it will introduce just a new mapIn this respect, the expectations of the players, who were expecting more important news, were partially disappointed.
Confirmation came via the official Battlefield 2042 forum from Straatford87, one of the DICE community managers, in response to a question from a user asking for clarification:
“I can confirm that we’re talking about the “map” of Season 1 in the video (in the dev diary below),” said DICE’s community manager.
In fact, in the past, DICE has stated that it will only offer one map per Season, so plans on this have not changed. However, given that season 1 was delayed to June, some of the community was hoping to see more maps.
Straatford87 also announced that Battlefield 2042’s arsenal will be strengthened by adding classic weapons from the Battlefield Portal for All-Out Warfare mods.
DICE also recently announced that it has stopped creating new content for Hazard Zone and eliminated the 128-player playlist for Breakthrough with Update 4.1 released a few days ago.
