Features of Minecraft 1.19
You can get more details on the confirmed and planned features of 1.19 on the Minecraft wiki, but here’s the rundown:
deep dark biome
A new Deep Dark biome spawns underground in the Deepslate layer and will contain new blocks and can spawn things like old cities. The Guardian spawns in this biome.
Dirt
Mud can be obtained by pouring water on the ground; this is true both in real life and in the case of the new mud block. You can place a clay block on top of the drip edge to drain moisture and turn it into clay, or you can turn it into mud bricks for a new building material.
Mangroves and the mangrove biome
The Wild will feature a major swamp update, including mangroves. Mangroves will grow from young trees that can be planted underwater or on land, and will develop into large masses of root blocks with vines hanging around them. You can collect them to get a new type of tree. You’ll also find entire mangrove biomes.
boats with lockers
Perhaps most importantly, we also have boats with chests, pretty obvious. The developers suggest that the wider rivers introduced in the next-gen world features will be a great excuse to cruise their ships with improved storage.
put the crowd to sleep
Allay mob, this year’s voting winner, will also be a part of 1.19. This is a little blue fairy who collects things for you and loves to dance.
frogs
Animated croaking frogs also make their debut here. They’ll start out as tadpoles (which you can put in a bucket) and develop into one of three varieties of frogs: snow, swamp, or tropical, depending on the temperature of the biome they mature in. Frogs jump onto lily pads when they can; they may also be tempted by dripping leaf fall.
Frogs were originally intended to eat another new addition planned for version 1.19: fireflies. However, in early May, it was revealed that these light bugs would not be in The Wild update. They may still show up in a future version, but probably as something of their own.
