Looking for wildlife? Here’s where to find raccoons in Horizon Forbidden West.
Horizon Forbidden West has a powerful crafting system. Certain components you collect on your journey can be used to upgrade weapons, outfits, and bags. While most materials are mined from wild car components, some may come from more natural creatures.
medicine bag, welding bag etc. you must use animal components when updating items. One of these animals is the raccoon that you must find if you want to improve the Arrow bag.

Luckily, Raccoons can be found fairly often and early in the game. Forest areas near Chainscrape or Riverhymn are a great place to find a Raccoon.
Use your focus to scan nearby areas. The wildlife glows yellow, and you may spot a fluffy-tailed raccoon. Shoot an arrow at the raccoon of your choice and you will be able to supply yourself with it. Not all raccoons produce the substantial raspberry pods you’ll need to fill your pack – some may just skip wild meat. But it shouldn’t take much time to get the goods back because of so much discussion.
