CRAFTON, LLC has released update 17.2 for PUBG BATTLEFIELDS on all platforms. Along with it, changes are being made to the balance of weapons and combat accessories. The update puts the 1v1 Arena into practice mode, as well as changes to the recon scope, the 5.56mm fire-indicating rifle (DMR), and the infamous mortar that was introduced on the Taego map.

- Arena 1 on 1 in training mode: The 1v1 Arena is now available in Practice Mode to welcome all types of combat practice in an intense 1v1 environment. Players can play alone or watch the intense battle and decide once and for all who is the best in the Squad.
- Tactical Equipment Update: The Recon Scope and its automatic tagging and tracking features have shown incredible results. Therefore, the enemy detection radius has been reduced from 1 km to 600 meters, and the mark will no longer automatically appear in ADS mode.
- Weapon balancing: 5.56mm DMRs, especially the MK12 and Mini14, have seen some changes. After the latest damage update, the MK12 was difficult for players to use, so its recoil value has been improved to match the stability of the Mini14. With the release of the Mortar, which is unique to the Taego, the development team decided to make further changes to unlock its true potential: The Mortar can now be deployed on any terrain, except when the launch angle is unsafe or underwater. The weapon will also be available on all maps except Haven in regular matches and will take up an inventory slot.
