Fans waiting to hear about the second installment of Final Fantasy 7: Remake can take a look next month.

If you believe me, the 25th anniversary of the first Final Fantasy 7 is fast approaching. This particular record not only established itself as an all-time classic, but also sparked a great love for JRPGs from gamers all over the world. With the release of Final Fantasy 7: Remake in 2020, fans can experience the Cloud’s story in modern real-time action glory – part one only.

FFVII still has a great story to tell with its remake, so fans are wondering when we’ll see the sequel. However, according to Remake director Tetsuya Nomura, more information is expected to be released next month, marking the original game’s 25th anniversary.

Nomura shared this story live yesterday, focusing on mobile Battle Royale Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier.

Earlier, Square Enix announced that they would be revealing more about Part 2 this year, but now we have more timelines.

As for Nomura, he’s taking a step back from making Final Fantasy 7: Remake – Part 2 to work as a more creative director. Episode 1 co-director Naoki Hamaguchi will take the lead.

Square Enix seems to have a lot of plans when it comes to Final Fantasy. Along with the next big release in the series – Final Fantasy XVI – the studio has launched the Final Fantasy 35th Anniversary site, worried that news about upcoming games is on the way.

Final Fantasy VII: Remake is only available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Windows PC.
