The AfroGames project, created in partnership with Grupo Cultural AfroReggae, announces the renewal of its sponsorship for another season with Fusion (AMBEV), one of the world’s major beverage producers.
Fusion has partnered with two new teams, Free Fire and Fortnite, for the second year in a row, and is also supporting the League of Legends roster. In total, 14 students will benefit, who will receive a sports scholarship in the amount of one minimum wage in order to be able to fully devote themselves to the game and improve their results, as well as receive the entire structure offered by the Project Learning Center. , which has a team-only room, training schedules, coaches, psychological support, fitness training, and all the support a team needs for professional competition.
The revamp also saw an increase in the number of young people served from 100 to 150 students who will take courses in programming, League Of Legends, Free Fire, Fortnite and English.
About AfroGames
Launched in 2019, AfroGames is a digital inclusion and social impact project targeting vulnerable young people in Rio’s favelas. The project is the result of a partnership between Grupo Cultural AfroReggae and Chantilly Produções, and its main goal is to use education and technology as strategies for social transformation and income generation by creating the first professional esports team in the favela of the world and center. for gaming culture and e-sports, which train professionals with high competitive potential in different segments.
In 2022, the project will serve 170 young people with courses in coding, League Of Legends, Free Fire, Fortnite and English. Today, AfroGames sponsors Ambev and the State Department of Sports of Rio de Janeiro, co-sponsors GE, Globo Rio and the Municipal Department of Culture of Rio de Janeiro, supports Gol and Player 1, in addition to partnerships with Nuveem, HyperX and DT3.
