We’ve known for a long time that the third and final foray into World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is called Founders’ Sepulcher and comes with Patch 9.2: Eternity’s End. The identity of the final boss is also known as the fortress, but players will end up with an encounter with Andwin Vrin, King of Stormwind from the start of the first episode, after setting up the raid, only the first eight bosses as intended . . This is a prison-controlled expansion.
But on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, the final cinematography for this first part of the edition was finally unveiled, shortly before the victory over the Guild’s first son, Vrin. A film that not only breaks one of the narrative arcs of Warcraft, but opens the door to many speculations about what awaits us after the last three bosses of the edition…
We know that our next adventure in Zereth Mortis will focus on gaining knowledge to challenge the magic of Jailer domination, and the Anduin will be central to our progress through this founder’s temple. However, we have very few leads at the moment. And finally… unless you compare this new cinematography with the defeat of Arthas at the top of the castle of ice during the wrath of King Leach.
Could death finally be the key to the spell of domination? Specifically, could souls grieving the loss of a loved one at least invoke this seemingly invincible power that is currently only the prison guard’s secret?
If the necessary scenes are to be believed, this theory won’t be far off: when Artaxerxes dies in Icecrown Castle, his father Terena Menethyl appears and resurrects him. We can also assume that death freed him, which explains why a priori he was not Silvana Windraner and was never under the influence of a guardian. But on Anduin’s side, not even death brought him back to consciousness, the souls of two fallen heroes who were so dear to him: Varok Sarukrok and Varian Vrin.
But will we have to sacrifice ourselves to thwart Zoval’s plans? Should one of the heroes, like Silvana or Bolvar, be allowed to sacrifice themselves to fight this terrible sorcery? And if the main character disappears, is it possible to bring him back somehow?
