Tuesday, April 19, following Blizzard’s long-awaited announcement Classic Lich King’s WrathThe beta, the second expansion of the classic version of World of Warcraft, will finally open to players selected by the American publisher on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. This test session begins almost exactly one year after the release of Burning Crusade Classic.
Restart your Battle.net Launcher to ensure your account is (or not) selected when the beta is available, and check the “Version” tab to see if you have the “Wrath of the Lich King Classic Beta” tab.
WotLK Classic beta content as of June 22, 2022
As with each test phase of World of Warcraft, the content offered by the extension is not available from the start. This initial testing phase will therefore focus on the first elements that players will bring to the game and encounter along the way. From the first zones to the first hips, Norrend naturally goes through the improvements and changes made in most classes.
Currently tested:
- Players can upgrade to level 76
- The whole field of Borean Turdra
- Shout out the whole fjord field
- The whole field of Dragonblight
- Utgarde Dungeon in an exciting fjord (level 68-72 dungeons)
- Nexus in the Borean Tundra (levels 69-73)
- Asol-Nerub in Dragonblight (Dungeon 71-74)
- New features that the expansion offers in all classes (except Shaman and Warlock)
Take the time to rediscover all of this content, and if you do (and you’re lucky to be chosen), remember even the smallest errors you’ll encounter using the current tool upon entering the game. In the middle of your (laptop) screen.
Have fun, have fun, and make this experience as rewarding as possible to make this the most fun expansion pack for Wrath of the Lich King Classic when it releases later this year! Your feedback is important to ensure players have the best gaming experience in the months to come!
And remember: if you don’t have access to this first test session, don’t succumb to fake emails just because you don’t have the patience!
