Rise of the Challengers

In the 2023 season, Challenger competitions in each of the three regions will result in a new series of events: Challenger Rise. Three Challengers Ascension tournaments will reward the best teams from each region, and teams that win three Ascension tournaments will be guaranteed a place in the International League for the next season, as shown in the table above.

Thanks to this system, Valorant’s three international competitions will include an additional team each year, up to a maximum of 14 teams in 2027.
