Curious about Pokemon GO’s Spotlight time this week? We have protected you. Here’s everything you need to know about April 19’s Spotlight Hour.

The Pokémon GO Spotlight Hour is a feature that occurs almost every Tuesday from 6-7 p.m. local time. All Spotlight times for a given month are announced one week in advance by Niantic Labs. You can find them on the official Pokemon GO blog or by browsing reliable sources of information.

Each Spotlight Hour features a different Pokemon in front of it and usually comes with a passive bonus like extra XP or Candy.

Oddish, the next Pokémon Spotlight Hour – will launch on Tuesday, April 19.

Oddishi is a herbaceous and poisonous species from the Kanto region. Also known as the “grass” Pokemon, Oddish is known for its ability to sell Pokemon-shaped succulents, second only to Bulbasaur. It places the body in the ground to absorb nutrients from the soil. The more nutritious the soil, the brighter its leaves.

Oddish’s PokeDex number #043. Can be transformed into Gloom using 25 candies, then 100 candies can be transformed into Vileplume or Bellossom using flat or sun stones respectively.

Trainers participating in this Spotlight will receive double Stardust.

Yes, Oddish can be awesome! Oddish released the game in July 2016. Its shiny version debuted at New Taipei City Safari Zone in October 2019.

It acquires a special bright, more greenish color, the once blue stem becomes completely virid, and the leaves turn yellow. Shiny Gloom follows the color scheme with a hint of green like a shimmering Vileplume.

But Shiny Bellossom is mostly green anyway. Therefore, the shiny version turns purple instead! Only the leaves of her skirt remain the same.

Ultimately it depends on what is important to the trainer. Neither Vileplume nor Bellossom are particularly strong grass strikers. Vilefeather also generally outperforms other poisonous Pokemon types in both PvP and PvE content.

That said, Oddish is a popular Pokemon in the community – so we really don’t blame anyone for joining it.

Instructors deficient in Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume and/or Bellossom are encouraged to participate.

We also recommend that you remove the star part and enjoy the Stardust collection through the bonus during this feature.
