Pokemon GO Trainers have the opportunity to participate in a special Catch Cup during the GO Battle League Breakout Season.
Pokemon GO is no stranger to special and unique competitions with unusual rules to give trainers a real challenge. This is especially true for the Capture Cup, where trainers are only allowed to use Pokémon captured in a particular window. It looks like Niantic Labs thought it was the perfect wild card to carry Alola into the season ahead of the traditional GO Battle League holiday.

This year, the Catch Cup says only Pokémon will be caught on Tuesday, March 29 and Saturday, April 5, 2022. All participants must be below the 1500 CP limit and Legendary Pokémon will not be allowed.

The Catch Cup 2022 will be held from March 29 to April 5, alongside the Ultra League.
