We’ve compiled a short guide on how trainers can turn their Piloswine into Mamoswine in Pokemon Legends: Arceus.
As one of the few newly evolved Pokemon from Generation IV, Mamoswine was meant to appear in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It’s clear that this species of Pokemon has been roaming the vast frozen landscapes of Sinoh for quite some time – even when that region was still known as Hisu.

Trainers can transform their Piloswine into Mamoswine as soon as they learn the ancient power.
In Pokemon Legends: Arceus, Piloswine learns ancient power in 34 levels. Master a move up to level 45 after about 10 levels. To force this type to evolve, trainers must change the move set to one of the old power’s four moves and then level up at least once. This will prepare Pilosvain for evolution.
As this is a medium evolutionary tree, Trainers may want to use Swinub, the pre-developed form of Piloswine, and fully evolve from there. Swinub and Piloswine can be found in Alabaster Iceland, Bonechhill Wastes, Avalugg Legacy, and Avalanche Slopes.
Also known as the “Twin Tusk” Pokémon due to its two large branches, Mamoswine has been said to roam the planet for a “long time”. His paintings are often found on the walls of caves. Its branches would be taller and more impressive as the weather gets colder. Lawnton suggests that this species reached its peak during the Ice Age.
“I suspect that the cold climate of Hisu is compatible with the structure of Mamosvin and therefore awakens a latent potential,” he writes.
