With the development of Scarlet and Violet, Nintendo took steps to introduce an open-world multiplayer version of the Pokemon franchise.
Ever wanted to explore the world of Pokémon with your best friends? Now that dream has come true thanks to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Trainers don’t need to start their Pokémon adventures with just one partner. With the release of Scarlett and Violet, they can even take their best friends on a trip.
Here’s what we know about the proven multiplayer aspect of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.
For the first time, up to four Trainers can tour the Pokémon Adventures region together.
“Besides the main elements of the series such as Pokémon trading and battles, you will be able to explore different locations in the region with other players in these games.” Its website reads, “You can discover new Pokémon and explore undiscovered places with your friends and family, opening the door to more rewarding and fun adventure than ever before!”
Unfortunately, this is all the information we have at the time of writing this article. There’s no mention of how this mechanic works, if it’s really a cross-version, or if trainers will need a Nintendo Online account instead of just communicating with friends via LAN. However, with such a massive development of the series, there is no doubt that more will be known as soon as the title hits the market.
