Also known as the “Spitfire” Pokémon, Magmar is said to be a descendant of Volanko. When injured, this Pokemon is bathed directly in volcanic hot lava while a human is bathed in a hot spring. This allows him to relax and heal. Hisuian PokeDex number #175.
Magmotar, an “exploded” Pokemon, can melt metals like iron with a single fireball. He launches fire from cannons placed in his arms and houses volcanoes. According to the researchers, a single volcano usually contains both male and female pairs of this species. Hisuian PokeDex number #176.
