Hideo Kojima has responded bluntly to rumors that a second Death Stranding game is going into production.
Death Stranding star (and Kojima’s personal friend) Norman Ridus said in an interview with Leo Digital Edition that “one more second begins”. Here is the full exchange:

To interview“Well, so you go on with the book, the final season comes out, and then you shoot The Spinoff and the Death Stranding video game.”
Ridus“We are just getting started. »
To interview: “How did it happen?”
Ridus“Guillermo del Toro, who gave me my first movie, called me and said, ‘Hey, there’s a guy called Hideo Kojima, he’s going to call you, just say yes.’ say yes?’ Stop being stupid, just say yes.” Then I was in San Diego and Hideo came over with a big group of people, he was from Tokyo, and he showed me what he was working on on a piece called Silent Hill . I was mesmerized by what he showed me and I was like, “Yeah, let’s go.” the game came out, it won all these awards and it was huge, we just started the second part of the game.
Reedus’ comments set off a whirlwind of standard rumors accompanying any news regarding the Kojima project, and now the developer himself has responded by appearing to punish Reedus.
“Go to your private room, man,” Kojima wrote on Twitter, followed by a waxed finger and heart-eyed emotion. There was also a photo on Twitter of the two of them posing as if Kojima was going to hit Ridus with a stick.
Kojima Productions has yet to confirm the Death Stranding sequel, but these developments prove that with the success of the first, a second game is on the way. The first Death Stranding was released in November 2019, and Kojima was followed by a director’s cut in 2021.
