The removal of 128-player mode from Battlefield 2042 triggers different player reactions. Some are happy with the change, some are not.
“In the 128-player Breakthrough mode, we believe that individual player and team value and influence is diminished due to the increased intensity and chaos of combat.” The developers explained on EA’s website: “In our Breakthrough Breakdown review, we noted that the 64-player version is a more tactical experience. “Where players can hold the front lines more effectively.”
Season 1 is also announced which will air in early June 2022. Battlefield 2042 developers will return with the first season update over time.
Other general updates and adjustments have been made to focus on target accuracy and assist, placement markers, and other weapons. The last update was on April 19, exactly one month before the 4.1 update. This previous update this month focused on features rather than focusing directly on tweaks and gameplay options.
