LoL: immortal pro player cat in the game!

League of Legends is preparing for the upcoming arrival of the most exclusive skins of the year. Traditionally, Riot Games has created a new theme in honor of the 2021 world champion team. EDward Gaming accompanies other historical teams like Fnatic or SK Telecom T1 with cosmetics adapted to each player. But this time it will be a very special detail. Instead of deciding to build a custom stable, one of the world champions dedicated his prize to his animal.

cats for each other

It is not uncommon for a world champion to decide to honor another person with their specially stitched skin. Doinb requested Malfit cosmetics from Riot Games so that he and his wife could see their immortality. But here it will be the first animal to be chosen by the player. Still, we have to admit that previous winners haven’t had many opportunities either, as there aren’t many characters with such appearances in League of Legends. However, Yume gave Meiko the perfect excuse to respect her pet.

Riot Games teams confirmed the rumors very quickly, the similarities between Yumi’s skin and the appearance of Meiko’s pet was one of the claims of EDG support. As soon as this anecdote was confirmed, a few details emerged: The shape of the spots around the eyes was of course similar, and the type of bandage visible in the photo circulating on social networks was also very respected on the skin.

Isn’t that the first option?

This situation should be officially clarified within a few days or even hours, but the rumor is spreading. According to some netizens, Yume was not Meiko’s first choice. Lulu’s wishes were originally meant to be directed at Lulu, but for some unknown reason she changed her mind and chose to respect the cat. The idea seems too specific to be an instant inspiration, and it’s a safe bet the player will have it on their backs for a while. But that doesn’t explain the change of champion.

Dismissing the simple idea of Meiko’s personal preference (who may have thought so well about Lulu and changed her mind before the deadline) could challenge several theories. Meiko wanted to respect her pet so much and wanted her to fit in like Lulu Pix. Riot Games could have been rejected for technical reasons or to avoid confusion between the appearance of Pix and Yuumi. It is also possible that the first sketches did not convince either the studio or Meiko, and the selection was then moved to YouTube. Anyway, the latter now sits proudly in the pantheon of the “best” champions of the game.
