Belvet uncovers a 10-year-old mystery and confirms society’s impossible theory

While it’s not the most famous secret in the League of Legends community, some players have been dealing with creator Victor Skin for over a decade. This skin didn’t look like anything special, but the summoning animation featured many champions from the Victorian prototype community – war machines created by the Herald. All of them were recognizable except one with a particular shape, from which the public could only draw two conclusions: either Anivia’s skin or the look of the future champion..

League of Legends mystery solved thanks to Belvet

After the calm that was impossible to conclude due to the silence of the studio, the recent Belvet leak served to confirm a theory that seems to have already been buried. The form of the butterfly or wire champion perfectly matches the teaser that Riot Games showed in 2013.. Players were excited and celebrated when they saw their assumptions come true. To come full circle, we can assume that the first Bel’Veth skin will be in the Victor prototype skin.

In remembrance of designer Victor Skinny, we see an image that matches the look of the arch.

Besides the appearance of this image in creator Victor Skin’s summon animation, there were two other occasions when Riot Games wanted to rekindle this mystery. The Proto Vel’Koz cosmetics featured the same silhouette in 2014, and the developers insisted on this shape after the Urgot redesign, which launched in 2017. The repeats that can be found in the new version of the Proto skin Urgot – many players rightly thought this was not accidental and made sense. Which seems to be fully confirmed with the release of Bel’Veth.

Alongside these Bel’Veth teasers in various illustrations, Riot Games’ silence kept some hopes alive. When something goes wrong, developers often share it with the public as an anecdote. We’ve seen it in canceled champions or deleted opportunities. However, with these teasers, they decided to keep it a secret for a long time. Company employees ignored the public’s response to this issue.

When we first saw this theory, we thought it odd that Riot Games would choose a teaser so soon, and we’d rather think it had to do with Anivia’s possible canceled appearance. But we can be happy that the developers have decided, almost 10 years after its debut, to continue one of the most mysterious stories in the League of Legends community. Something that makes Belvet’s entry into the game even more special.

With the theory confirmed, there’s no doubt that we’ll finally have some answers about what happened to the Empress of the Void and what kind of relationship she had with Victor. Granted, it’s unclear what cosmetics will be pouring into League of Legends in the near future, or what the new champion’s lunch skin will be. However, we cannot imagine him in metal armor as the perfect weapon of destruction created by Victor in the prototype world..
