Nuguri returns to Pro Play for DWG KIA 2022 LCK Summer Split

Top player Zhang “Nguri” Ha-gwon, who won the 2022 Spring Split on Saturday, is back to compete in the League of Legends Champions League (LCK) for DWG KIA. Korizon Esports Report.

The announcement comes approximately two weeks after DWG KIA reached the semi-finals and placed third in the 2022 LCK Spring Qualifiers, where the eventual T1 champion qualified for the 2022 MSI.

It looks like the disastrous trio of 2020 World Cup champions will reunite this summer, with Nuguri joining juggler Kim “Canyon” Jeon-Bus and mid-range Heo “Showmaker” Sus DK.

Finally, while Nugur was competing in the LCK, DWG KIA was still known as DAMWON Gaming and defeated Suning (now known as Weibo Gaming) 3-1 in Shanghai, China, winning the inaugural Summoner Cup of Korea since 2017.

Shortly after, in November 2020, Nugur and Kim “Khan” Don-Ham swapped places when they debuted with FunPlus Phoenix in the Pro League of Legends (LPL).

Nuguri and Kim “Doinb” Tae-sang, Gao “Tian” Tian-liang, Liu “Crisp” King-Song, and Lin “Lwx” Wei-Xian, while finishing second in the China Spring and Summer Playoffs. He was once again hailed as one of the favorites for the 2021 World Cup.

However, in the end, FPX failed to make it out of the group stage, missing four games in a row on day four and finishing in Group A in last place.

Before Khan pulled out of the final series, DWG KIA lost 3-2 to Edward Gaaming, arguably the world’s all-time best finisher.

Last season, Nuguri contacted a member of DWG KIA to fill a large hole left in the top lane of a Korean powerhouse and decided to take a break before breaking up with Khan.

Now that Nuguri looks energetic again to take on the Rift for DWG KIA this summer, it’ll be really interesting to see how things play out with DK’s current top players Noh “Burdol” Tae-yoon and Yoon “Hoya “Yong-ho. . , as in the LCK tournament table.
