While Evil Geniuses have always had a strong regular season, most observers saw them below the Top 3 in the LCS. During the match against Team Liquid, the Impact teammates showed that the gap was no longer great, especially forcing Team Liquid to go to the end of the decisive game of the regular season. Did Hans Sama challenge him? Let’s return to the French game in this trap.

For the first episode, Hans was on Jinks. He comes out with good stats that show he’s made mistakes and positioned himself well to be a more believable threat in teamfights. IOn the other hand, if the three colors respond to the present, it must be admitted that it is far from dominating the head and shoulders. The Danny/Volcano duo was the biggest threat to Team EG in round one, and ADC did more damage than Hans in the end. The Frenchman therefore played an exceptionally good first match. Jinx is banned for round two, so Xayah enters under the player’s keyboard. Hans was again unable to dominate his lane, with Team Liquid setting up the first two hits with a weak bot. Except that this time, the over-win strategy is perfectly read by the evil geniuses. Also, Team Liquid’s draft was quite greedy with two game champions too late against a very strong midfield team. Unable to take the lead in the first few minutes, Team Liquid slowly explodes until it breaks under the pressure of evil geniuses. Again, while it would be unfair to say Hans played poorly, it’s understandable that he didn’t make a difference either.
The third round does not allow the French to shine either. Remaining in Ashe, Team Liquid had absolutely nothing to do, opting for a very aggressive composition. Hans’ goal was mainly to find receivers with good arrows and try to survive in a team fight unaided. He still fulfilled his role but did not have the weapon of an MVP. Still, winning is the key and knowing how to serve the team is the biggest sign.
Finally the dust has spoken
Game 4 was pretty weird. Nothing went as planned as EG managed to surprise their draft opponents with Ryze, Lucian Mid, and Graves Jungle, which prevented Team Liquid from dominating a particular lane. Hans returned to Ash, but his options against Dennis Ezreal were very limited. He played very well in the match, probably his best performance, but defeat was inevitable, the evil genius trap worked very well.
However, even the greatest geniuses are not infallible, and leaving Hans to Hans for a decisive match was the fault of the evil geniuses. The French player, who has a much more focused squad around him, will respond by dominating his lane until he takes over the game. Even if the tricolor played well, we must also salute the work done by Santorini Viego and Jungler TL in general, the latter having done very well in most BO matches. Mission accomplished for Hans, even if he still has better leads.
