Riot Games is stepping up its efforts to renew the old Champions League legends, And then, in 12.7, several characters will receive significant visual improvements. The studio wanted to focus on some of the older champions and improve their effects to go along with the game’s update process. A thumbnail visual fix that keeps the character model intact, but completely reverses spell effects to refresh and meet the clarity criteria.
A small change for Oriana
One of the champions selected for these minor changes is Oriana. Mechanical Maiden is more than a great character in terms of in-game balance, and that’s why Riot hasn’t looked into his case for many years. However, the visual effects were very outdated. In terms of clarity and art style, they didn’t match the rest of Champions League Legends. That’s a thing of the past with the new changes from Riot Games.
For comparison, the effects will see significant particle changes and blue for the base character model. Here are all the changes:
- big attack : Added bullet trail and barely noticeable light burst when hitting.
- A – Order: Attack : Improved the effect indicating the position of the zone on the ground and the indicator when it hits a champion.
- W – Row: Mismatch : The ability to activate skills has been changed, electricity patterns have been added.
- E – Command: Protection : The shield is now blue
- R – Command: Shockwave : Added a new effect. The edges are better represented and the burst moment is sharper. It also creates a yellow electrical effect on afflicted enemies. When used on an ally, a star-shaped lightning bolt emerges from the orb.
Generally, all skills will be affected when these changes come to League of Legends. Riot Games will continue to make changes to the PBE for 12.7 cycles, but announced that it is only making adjustments to the new base model.
Following public reaction, the following changes are expected to be implemented in the coming days.
- Most skins did not retain the unique effects of W (layout: offset). So they can be added.
- Oriana War Hero finally lost her unique R (Order – Shockwave) effect. They can be added again.
