The 2022 League of Legends World Championship will be held in North America from September 29 through November 5. The continent will have to wait 6 years before hosting the competition on its territory. Each edition of the most prestigious tournament of the year accompanies the event with a special skin, a championship skin or the world as it is called this year. After LeBlanc in 2020, Jarvan IV takes over the management of Shurima in 2021!

10 year tradition

Worlds Skins appeared in Season 2 in 2012 with Riven of the Championship. An updated version of this costume was also released in 2016 to celebrate the return of Worlds to North America – the year T1 was crowned for the third time. Azir was chosen for this edition, which is hardly surprising. All leagues combined, 32% availability. For example, during the LEC’s Summer Spring, his attendance is 45.7%, which, let’s remember, is a very high figure for a champion chosen by the pros throughout the season and not by the public.

It will be an epic skin for 1350 RP — The four colors have already been announced. The cosmetics are already in testing on the PBE and should arrive with patch 12.18 scheduled for Wednesday, September 21, 2022, according to Riot Games’ official schedule. It will only be available for a limited time. As always, sales of skins will increase the contest prize pool (exactly 25% of its prize).

Worlds (formerly Championship) skins should not be confused with Victorious skins. Worlds Skins mark the end of a season, just like League of Legends Worlds. They can be purchased from the store at the end of each season and then become legendary (not available). As for the victorious skins (War Heroes in French), these are rewards granted to players who have reached Gold or more.

So, are you satisfied with this choice?
