League of Legends boasts of having over 150 different champions, some of which are in desperate need of a buff in patch 12.17. Here are the three champions we hope to enjoy in the latest League of Legends patch.
Gwen participated in the current League of Legends meta. While the other champions were treated well with the latest patch notes, Gwen was consistently pissed off to the point of sitting with a 45% win rate. With the upcoming 12.17 patch, we expect Gwen to gain some significant fans as she brings a fun and unique playstyle to League of Legends.
Pop’s 46% win rate and 2% pick rate indicate a bigger issue with the League of Legends meta. With a meta heavily dependent on damage, it’s no surprise that a tanking-focused champion like Pop isn’t performing very well. Much of what Pop is built around, namely combat and frontline damage, champions do better than him. In the current meta, Pop will not be able to contribute to team fights like a champion like Kane. While this is unfortunate for the Poppy Network, a simple buff or two in patch 12.17 might be enough to move Poppy to a better place in the meta.
Shivana’s main problem is the champion’s lack of core strength. Her passive Dragonborn Fury can be completely negated if Shivana or her team can’t take the dragons. Its damage in dragon form is solid, but low in human form. His ultimate strength lies in his rage, and without it he adds little value to his team. While all of these issues alone aren’t enough to make a champion evil, it’s their combination that ultimately brings Shivana down. Although it had moderate success in previous patches with patch 12.17 on the horizon, we hope to see the buff with the half-dragon Shivana arrive.
