League of Legends proprietary skin issue: how to fix it?

League of Legends players have reported experiencing issues loading their skins. If you get an error message when trying to view your own skin, here are some tips to try to fix the problem.

Riot Games is aware of the issue and is working to resolve it. While the developer is working on a fix, players may be wondering if there is anything they can do to fix this issue. Here are some useful tips for those wondering about the error.

Browse your collection in League of Legends and find the champion associated with your skin. You must have a champion to configure your skin. If you don’t have a champion for the skin you’re trying to load, you’ve found your problem. If you own a champion and still get an error when trying to load skins, try the other steps below.

Sometimes it takes a while for the game to realize you have the skin, play the waiting game and wait a few minutes before you see the skin. If that doesn’t work, quit the game and log back in. It’s like updating your account to the latest version with the skins you purchased or gifted.

If you still can’t view the skin, head to the League of Legends support website with your LoL credentials and submit a ticket. Select “Events, promotions, Eternal and your store” in the search field. Tell us what’s in your collection and wait for Riot Games to contact you.
