List of compositing layers in TFT patch 12.13

Since TFT patch 12.13 has been live for nearly a week, players have been introduced to the best playable comps available. While this article doesn’t cover many popular teams, it should give you an overview of what to play this patch.

S-Rank: Varus and Ilaoi

While taking a few hits in Astral Correction and Varus getting nerfed in 12.13 and that comp was already pretty good in 12.12, Varus and Illaoi jumped to the top of the TFT meta again. Deathblade goes from solid to absolutely devastating, as Varus 3 is much easier to obtain than most champions due to his Astral trait. Team up with an Illaoi 3 that refuses to die with tank items and get one of the best combos in the game.

Level A: 6 Jade

This is an example of a team that is still reasonably playable but should not be prioritized over any of the meta team sets. This comp took a hit after Shi Oh Yu was nerfed in 12.13, but he still has the potential to hurt other players with the right stuff. Anivia 3 is still a dominant AP carry on the right hand, and despite the nerfs, Shi Oh Yu is still good enough to carry you in the late game.

Level B: 9 Ragewing

While 9 Ragewing gets buffs in 12.13, it’s not strong enough to take you late into the game without much luck in the form of three-star units and great items. Sett Reroll can score mid-game kills, but the comp breaks down when you need to start winning with late-game comps. Shivana, even with two stars, doesn’t have the same effect as some of the other dragons. Ragewing units are still recommended for many other comps like Xayah and Shen, but don’t expect to win every game with this team.
