If you’ve been playing Teamfight Tactics regularly throughout this set, you’ve probably come across the Aurelion Sol Mage Emblem a few times. It gets quite dangerous when he starts to double fire, but outside of a mage comp, Aurelian Sol doesn’t see much use as it’s hard to get him to land the same punch he does when he is given a mage trait.
To address this issue, Aurelian Sol will be getting an overhaul in the upcoming 12.13 patch. The devs are hoping these changes will make it less dependent on the Mage emblem and make it a more solid choice overall.
TFT: Aurelion Sol update is coming in 12.13! Reduce its reliance on the Wizard’s Emblem by making their first use more substantial and will not automatically gain extended uses. With the black hole no longer scaling with player count, the Sorcerer’s Emblem was a blow to Aurelian Sol as it greatly leveraged the dual aspects inherent in a black hole’s rapidly increasing dimensions. Enemies that take more damage from all sources also synergize well with other champions that lower their armor and magic resistance.
TFT 12.13 patch is expected to be released on Wednesday July 13th.
