The League of Legends community is directly responsible for some of the changes to the game. Design details that the developer didn’t notice or didn’t seem important were changed thanks to player suggestions. Riot Games takes recommendations very seriously. A good example is the stamina update, a month-long job driven largely by player perseverance. A situation that can be reproduced today with a much less ambitious but very interesting change.
A small change to improve clarity
The offer in question concerns Vision Beacons and their interaction with the Oracle Scrambler. Players find the sign silhouette to be very confusing when it appears in a bunch of notorious reds. This issue is caused by room skins that have unique silhouettes and can sometimes look like tiny champions in a game or accidentally come across something else. Even the skin of a lighthouse is known to cause such situations, the most famous of which are the following…
- A melancholic mummy
- His Majesty Crab
- Coma SKT T1
Without a doubt, the contours and distortions caused by the Oracle Scrambler have scared League of Legends players. This change seems plausible, especially when Riot Games is so obsessed with game clarity.. The developer just made full visual updates to some champions because they felt they didn’t meet the minimum requirements. So changing the default sign silhouette or adding flags doesn’t seem too far off.
However, the public has reported other instances of this to reach the developers. It is true that Riot Games is very careful about any changes regarding the sale of skins, but it is difficult to imagine that anyone really cares that their sign is not different in such a particular case.. Also, where cosmetics can benefit, it’s often very direct. In this sense, it is possible to wait and see if there is a change in the list of priorities of the developers.
