LoL: Could the next villainous champion be a primordial demon?

In a previous article, we discussed the possibility that Nila is related to the Demon of Primordial Joy. Yesterday Riot Games confirmed that inside them is good Creation press release New champion. Ashley (this is the name of a demon) is one of the ten second primary demons associated with a particular emotion. This woman from Katkan (Runetera is an unexplored territory inspired by the countries of Southeast Asia) managed to control this unit in order to do good at the cost of her life. Riding his bike with him really destroyed Nila’s past and future, making her a person who only feels joy in all those perverted emotions like delirium (mental dysfunction characterized by a predominant drop in attention , concentration and consciousness) and obsessions. However, he had the ability to temporarily resurrect demons, and it’s not crazy to imagine the next villainous champion could be one of them.

Demons, wet fire Runetera?

Although demons are depicted as extremely powerful creatures, they don’t really look that scary. Six of the 9 currently known demons are controlled (or defeated). Controlling Swayne Raum, possessing Annie Tibaulk (Tiber’s demonic name), Atachan is under the control of the Black Rose Sect, is defeated by the Camphor Pantheon, and is repelled by Nocturne Lux. Finally, even Ashley, who should be among the strongest of them all, is finally under the control of the “common man” (these terms are taken from the Riot Games article, not our interpretation). Finally, only Evelyn, Tam Kench and the Fidlestics are unbeaten in training so far, but remain very cautious. Evelyn and Tammy commit their own evil act and although they pose a potential threat to bystanders, they are not a threat to the world itself. Even the main fear demon Fiddlesticks has no particular influence on the universe. Although this could be partly explained by the fact that he was probably only considered the main demon when he was created (this information was later revealed when Riot Games chose to teach the game), if we ask players what is important to them, we have to admit that Danger for Runeterra, fear is very unlikely to be mentioned.

Agrogro I’m afraid!

We can say that this danger grows in the shadows, but this means of expression is not coherent. They do not seem dangerous, even for more or less omniscient players. Other champions should not be aware of the potential dangers of demons, but should still be unique to players. The example that seems to us the most revealing in this respect concerns Scaven in Warhammer. Although they are just a myth for most races, their dangers and effects are much more real for players. Considering the talented scriptwriters at Riot Games, he clearly seems to have noticed. So, turning the next villainous champion into a fearsome primate demon seems like a viable idea to give more context to the threat they face.

A fun theory, but it might not be: Amumu was obsessed with the primordial demon

League of Legends

As mentioned above, primal demons are only concerned with emotions and feel nothing else. If there is joy and fear now, sadness is also a good candidate. Amumu’s personal story says he is cursed, unable to make friends, and doomed to be alone forever, causing her eternal grief. From this point of view, it is not incoherent to imagine being cursed by a primordial demon associated with this emotion. Then his melancholy would no longer be the result of his curse, but the direct consequence of it. It is also possible to be the direct owner of the unit. However, if there is nothing to disprove this hypothesis, there is no evidence to support it. It will be necessary to wait for the editor of League of Legends to decide on its confirmation or not, to give us more details on this subject.
