New champions are always in the League of Legends community, and the release of champions like Zeri, Renata Glasc, and Bel’Veth started the trend for new champions that were both unique and powerful. Now, rumors are circulating about a new champion named Nila. Here’s what we know about him so far.
After several previously mysterious teasers, Riot Games has released the official teaser for new champion Nila. The Official League of Legends Twitter Account. The character proclaims herself “the Nila of the Seventh Rank” and appears to be working with a water demon to quickly strike down her opponents.

During a livestream by League creator Ryan “Reav3” Mireles, he announced that Nila would be the “Non-Traditional Robot Line Champion” in this year’s match. The leak on this suggests that it will be a melee ADC with some fun abilities that will set it apart from the Bot line champions.
Nila’s official release date hasn’t been announced yet, but it’s likely to hit theaters later in the fall or winter in Season 12. Over the next few weeks, we’ll have a bit more information on their specific abilities, base stats, as well as their characters and how they fit into other characters’ stories and the world of Runeterra as a whole.
