Prolonged duels are often uninteresting in Summoner’s Rift. If we talk about a skirmish that lasts almost a minute, most players imagine a battle between two tanks, like Malfit and Ramus, and often such a duel is closer to emotion than death. ‘Epic. Today, he completely rejects this stereotypeThis shows the massive battle between Volibear and Silas.
Why is it so long?
The exact causes cannot be determined as the video does not contain valuable details such as each player’s score and current items. The action doesn’t feel staged, however, as players can be seen dodging Volibear’s two ultimatums (demigod and robbed rampaging revolutionary) while trying to more or less successfully evade enemy skills. In addition, volleyball spoils the debate several times, it is time to go back to its heights. Even if we cannot be 100% sure, the attitude of the two players shows that each of them did everything to beat his opponent and this duel was not written.
But if this battle lasted so long, it’s probably due to recent changes and rotting tank installations. Most resistance items are damaged or just damaged (like the Solar Cloak, which gives more HP but increases the overall value, it’s not very convincing even if this change ends up improving it. It’s more interesting than before the patch). Additionally, the two legendary attack items that cause damage are based on enemy HP (Liandry for AP, Kraken for AD), while the items that reduce healing inflict some pretty serious nerfs. Structures based on resistance and regeneration have been reinforced, especially with the objects giving the big bang also taking big hits in the neck.
Finally, Silas and Volleyball have one thing in common: an essential remedy for the spell cast. Although these skills do not allow them to survive indefinitely during team fights, their effect is much greater during duels. Two champion streaks are taken for Yoyo, and it’s hard to predict which of the two players really has the advantage.
But then who would win?
With Sylas in perfect condition at the end of the video, Volibear will be the winner for us. The already stolen ultimatum (i.e. the volleyball ultimatum used by Silas) will expire soon so it can be placed under his turret. Also, W’s healing is higher than Sylas’ because Volibear is dependent on lost HP and his opponent is dependent on AP. However, HP stats are easier to get than AP stats (400 gold -> 150 hp, 435 gold -> 20 AP). Note that even if Silas has a conqueror unlike Runa Volibear who prefers him less, either he builds a full tank himself or his opponent must give up certain obstacles to buy AP. This means that it is technically harder to extract 100 HP from Volibear than from Sylas, which greatly compensates for the Conqueror. Finally, the bear is very strong in 12.11 and Silas is much weaker (but not bad this patch).
