The League of Legends community was somewhat disappointed with the cosmetics released throughout the year. It’s a very common discussion that sees a new chapter on the PBE with the arrival of the Ash Knight Pantheon. The Eternal Spear manages to join Pyke in a special line of cosmetics that can only be obtained through Fantastic Essences in a special store. Still, Many fans feel it falls short of expectations and looks too much like the champion’s other appearances.
Irritated skin?
While some aspects of skating on the new Hall of Fame are highly praised by the public, most of the complaints are about the drop in quality compared to the Ash Knight Pyke skin. This is largely due to the lack of heavy armor that seems to characterize this new issue.. While that’s not enough, it doesn’t help the champion easily distinguish between the Fallen cosmetics she purchased last summer. Somewhat exaggeratedly, some players briefly talk about mere chrome coloring.
The problem with these cosmetics is that they are probably the rarest skins in Ash Knight’s cosmetic series. These skins can only be purchased with Fantasy Essences, which are difficult to obtain and players expect higher quality skins than usual. The difference is definitely noticeable in the visual and sound effects, which are among the best in the game, but not in the character model..
Judging by the reviews, it looks like Riot Games will make a decision regarding major changes while the skin is still on PBE. Some of the biggest controversies over League of Legends’ most anticipated skins have resulted in indefinite delays in cosmetic improvements (such as with Ekko Flying Fire) following public criticism. So far, Riot Games has not mentioned this issue and no changes have been made.
