Why did Riot Games bring back some of the changes from Patch 12.11?

League of Legends didn’t make as many changes as expected in 12.11, Riot Games’ latest patch. The devs prepared generalized improvements to lethal items so that explosion champions who might lose power after 12.10 can take advantage of them. However, public pressure and data changes have sparked a backlash since the company introduced the resiliency patch.

Riots delay deadly change

Matt Leung HarrisonOne of the main stabilizers in the game is “Lethal Hextech Missile Belt and Death Rate modifications have been removed in Update 12.11.When we tell them they will need time “To estimate the magnitude and direction of this adjustment”. If the developer still feels they need to make changes, they’re not sure which direction to go. Also, they want to make sure that This adjustment is irreversible since the recent damage reduction.

Riot Games wants to make changes to killers

The items are part of the issues raised by Riot Games regarding the champion’s explosion status. “When lethal objects do as much or less damage than warriors, killers lose their imaginations and the relationship between the strengths and weaknesses of their profile.” At high level (Diamond 2 and above), 25% of Legendary Item purchases for these Champions are War Items. A problematic situation with no easy solution since Warrior items even received improvements in patch 12.11.

Worse still, Riot Games has to deal with the fact that most killers have increased their income since the last patch was released. Therefore, they need to find a way to improve their build and get rid of items that don’t really belong in their class in Summoner’s Rift without increasing their performance disproportionately.
