Yesterday was a special day for League of Legends lovers in Spain, when the Super League Summer Split, the most important esports competition of our country and one of the most prestigious Riot Games MOBA tournaments in Europe, started.

In fact, the viewership data supports the tournament and LVP as the summer season started with 43% more unique viewers than in 2021. It reached 238,000 unique viewers at its premiere last year and climbed 43% more to 342,422 unique viewers yesterday.

In both cases, only the LVP Twitch channel counts as one of the innovations that Super League has to offer in 2022, to which costreams need to be added. If we factor that in, that figure has grown to more than 620,000 viewers, meaning more than 320,000 hours watched, 160% more than harvested a year ago and 152% more than a year ago.

BISONS beat favorite

On the sports front, the biggest surprise yesterday was the defeat of Fnatic TQ, which dominated the competition in the spring season and was defeated by BISONS ECLUB on opening day. † Also, teams such as Finetwork KOI or Giants, who are candidates for the throne of Fnatic TQ, could not open their winning cabinets. Along with BISONS ECLUB, Movistar Riders, G2 Arctic, UCAM Tokiers and Barça eSports were the winners of the opening day in the LVP Superliga.
