League of Legends developer Riot Games brought immediate tension to Jana after getting too strong in the current meta. Jana, the Storm’s Rage, is a support champion who can immobilize, slow, and damage enemies, as well as shield and heal allies.
In Patch 12.2, Riot Games reworked to stabilize and bring Jana back into the game. However, this rework caused several flaws, including an issue with Q&A when using Glacial Augment, and made Janna very powerful.

The Smite Janna Top with Glacial Augment has become a popular choice at high ELOs, dealing impressive damage. Glacial Augment hits Janna’s Q and activates enemies, reducing their damage and slowing them down. As her teammates provided the kill, Jana left the opposing champions helpless. This structure has maintained Janna’s 58% profit margin at high ELOs.
Riot responded to Jana’s insult as follows:
Riot says Hotfix shouldn’t force Jana out of the front row, but instead create a more balanced champion. As with Sona’s peak, there have been many similar situations where fans have turned into a powerful meta top laner. Find out if Riot lowered Jana’s power level to avoid hitting that sweet spot with a cow and kicking it out of the lane.
