A new champion is coming to League of Legends. Riot Games officially announced it via the Bel’Veth Stage and introduced its base spashart to all players. However, the developer’s advertising campaign was not over yet. The studio continued to show a little preview of the character, and now we have the first video we can see of him in-game.
First official details on Belvet’s capabilities
The method Riot Games chose to convey this first example of Bel’Veth gameplay was a little odd. The developer released several QR codes during MSI 2022. They weren’t that noticeable and went unnoticed by many players. But the public understood that it was not a broadcast error and discovered a secret. After scanning the codes, here are some videos where we learned about the new champion’s abilities.
The truth is that the videos allow us to draw many conclusions about the character’s abilities that are not unlike what we saw in the leak. At first glance, we see the champion as he uses the true form that will eventually appear. The skills we see in the video are as follows. Note that the ultimate power of their effects can be replaced by their passivity.
- W (up and down) : Looks like it’s not as dramatic an effect as the leaks have mentioned, but something very similar to the Q – Darkin’s Sword’s first attack.
- Q (fill in the blanks) : Indeed, Bel’Veth can use his ability to move four times in a very short time, as long as you move in the directions his arrows point. Contrary to what has been said from the beginning, it does not seem to slow down enemies.
- E (Royal Tourbillon) – The Belvet carries a vortex of energy where it does little damage or is vulnerable. Deals damage over seconds to enemies in the area while channeling.
- passive 1 : Abilities display a white number with damage from a belt. This color is often used for raw damage. Therefore, we know that a character will do this type of damage in small amounts but consistently.
- passive 2 : Based on the first final escape, at the end of the opponent, Belvet receives an object that Vi drops when dropped in combat, heals itself and creates an explosion that can cause damage.
- passive 3 – Bell Vet shows monsters killing enemies. Although it is not clear from the details presented so far, they act like slaves.
- attack speed : The last video showed how Bel’Veth exceeded the attack speed limit in the game, being unknown, ability, transient or passive.
I hope Riot Games will continue these deployments as MSI progresses. The truth is that, despite the leak, the studio is trying to maintain uncertainty. That’s especially true today because we know they’re not really fit to compete in the championship. Some work as expected, but others look different and still have room for surprises. We now have to wait for the official reveal of her enchantment set, which will be soon.
