Iron Revenant was one of the first characters to receive a complete set overhaul. Even though some of his spells have retained traces of his original abilities (this is especially true for his Wipe (A) and Break (W)), their functions are still different. However, most of Mordecaiser’s hands are a variation on R that plunges his opponent into a fierce battle in the underworld with no witnesses or obstacles. Mordecaiser reigns in this region. It’s good until the smart guy decides to interrupt the party.
We are crazier…
What is happening here is actually quite simple. Sylas stole the Mordekaiser ultimatum and both champions use it on different targets at the same time. Iron Revenant targets the opposing team Nunu, while Silas chooses to kill Senna. Only four characters end up in an arena built like this, turning duels into a proper Super Smash Bros. 2v2. final. If this interaction is unexpected, it raises other questions.
Mordecai Ultimatum takes 7 seconds and players take a very long time to kill Nunu, the only victim of this action. What would have happened if Nunu had died earlier? Normally, when a mordecaiser kills its opponent, it instantly reverts to normal size. Would he still stay here to help Senna if he teleported away and left his wife alone with Silas? Or were Senna and Silas sent back with him, taking the tribute from the underworld? Since Sylas didn’t come out in the remake, this interaction was certainly not originally planned, although it was considered during the development of Unleashed Revolutionary.
Interesting but complex information
In addition to unexpected interactions, this action also provides some interesting insight into how the game works. Note that we’re only talking about gameplay here, not training, because technically Silas and Mordecaiser never crossed paths in the story, and so it’s unclear if a Revolutionary can really fit into the Revenant dimension. Therefore, this tells us that for the game there is only one realm with the dead, otherwise two different arenas will be created: one for Silas and Senna, and the other for Mordecaiser and Nunu.
It is therefore possible to interact directly in this dimension, at least for certain characters (including Sylas here). Today, once a member of your team is taken, it is no longer possible to help them (and conversely, the Mordecaiser team cannot help them either). Thus, the future champion can have the capacity or the passive which allows his spells to act in all dimensions, not only in the runetra. Since this mechanic is marginal, it’s probably not a priority at the moment, but if other skills of this type were to see the light of day (such as a spell forcing a character) it is interesting information to note in her head. Move to another dimension so she can move unseen/unblocked by opponents for up to X seconds).
