League of Legends Patch 12.8: 5 Biggest Changes

Players want to know the five biggest changes in League of Legends patch 12.8.

As the 2022 Mid-Season Invitational is played in Patch 12.8, the changes made in this patch will make a significant difference to the event. In fact, the last two patches focus on the pro scene, reversing changes that would affect the event.

With that in mind, here’s a list of the five most significant changes in patch 12.8.

Swain got a big upgrade this time around. Specifically, Riot’s goal was to completely resurrect the champion. With all of her abilities, changes to her crowd control abilities, and longer Demonic (R) buffs, she’s scarier than ever for Mana lovers.

The next Kai’Sa update on our list. Void’s Daughter has been dominating both Summoner’s Rift and Howling Abyss recently, largely due to AP damage to her Void Seeker (W). Riot Games is trying to push it away from that mold. Instead, they’re ready to play more around their passive individual pops.

The stopwatch, an element that many find very powerful, has changed. Stopwatches can no longer be purchased if players already own a Guardian Angel or Zhonya’s Hourglass.

Patch 12.8 brought many champion fans. A total of 14 champions have been crushed. These include Bard, Ezreal, Fidlestix, Cassadine, Gin, Mordecaiser, Pop, Sejuan, Silas, Tristan, Velcoz, Vladimir, Xerrat, and Zoe. It will be interesting to see how this affects both MSI 2022 and regular gamers.

Although there were many champions, only three were nervous: Jinks, Soraka and Khaia. This was a bummer for many as they thought some champions like Gin or Mordecaiser needed nerds instead of fans.
