Rockstar Games has been working on GTA 6 since 2014. Now the developer wants to fully ramp up production and is looking for more than 200 new employees.
New York – Publisher Rockstar Games has been working tirelessly on GTA 6. The studio has traditionally been reluctant to make early announcements about its games, so fans generally appreciate any kind of information. No seizures, so far it is unknown when the game will be released on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. New track announcements, however, may not shed light on the evolution of the highly anticipated title.

GTA 6 Boost: Rockstar Games is recruiting new employees.
What happened? Rockstar Games recently posted over 220 job openings on Hitmarker.net (a job board for the international entertainment industry). Fans were thirsty given that the publisher had already announced that they would join their alliance to pursue the GTA 6 reveal, confirmed by the massive increase in business. Jobs seem to go to a wide variety of positions, from social media executives to senior product managers. The duration is long and the company seems to be investing heavily in its staff at the moment.
It’s no surprise that the company is able to hire so many new employees. GTA Online is growing rapidly and remains the most profitable hobby Rockstar Games has ever created. The GTA Online Summer 2022 update also brought some highlights, and it’s sure to bring another treasure trove from Rockstar Games. In addition, the editor has only one goal for now – to advance the description of GTA 6. To the dismay of “Red Dead Online” fans, the team body working on the hobby has been removed.
What do vacancies mean in GTA 6? This isn’t the first time information about the game has leaked via job postings. To find qualified professionals, large companies inevitably have to open public tenders. Given the level of detail and scale of Rockstar’s previous titles, it’s no surprise that the publisher is desperate for talented new developers. Unfortunately, in this case, the gaps to be filled are not large enough to explain the release status of GTA 6.
Launching innovative games like Red Dead Redemption 2 or GTA 6 requires a lot of resources. Today, fewer and fewer studios are willing to tackle such huge projects. However, it will take some time for GTA 6 to appear. Recently, a source explained why Rockstar Games took so long to develop GTA 6. The experts involved do not expect GTA 6 to be released until 2024.
