Split
GTA Online is getting new content and minor improvements with the Summer 2022 update. One change is not enough for fans and causes outrage.
New York – GTA Online is Rockstar Games’ all-time favorite. With regular updates, the publisher keeps the game up to date and offers new content for PC and consoles. In the latest summer update, a super-powered carry that uses trolls and overwhelming love to annoy other players finally needs to be nerfed. However, the difference seems very quickly noticeable and the fans react bitterly.

GTA Online – Summer update must end with trolls
This causes disappointment for a long time: Dubbed the Oppressor MK II, the motorcycle that GTA Online wears is probably the most hated fan transport in all of GTA Online. Trolls like to use transport to spoil the fun of the broken world for other players. As fast as it is brutal, the Oppressor MK II can make other players’ lives romanticized with guided missiles, especially in public lobbies.
After many fans strongly protested their commitment, Rockstar Games relented and announced on July 7 that they would significantly weaken the scope of the GTA Online summer update to end trolling.
But fans were left disappointed when the GTA Online summer update released on July 26. A tweet from the GTA News RockstarINTEL.com Twitter account made it clear that Vehicle Missiles can still kill players with a single exit. Therefore, the transport is still very strong.
What does the municipality say? The GTA Online community was disappointed with the upcoming vulnerability (“Nerf”) in the Summer 2022 update, which will allow the transport’s guided missiles to only target NPCs, and no longer targets enemies.
- Wolf (@Paradox__Wolf) writes that “you need to remove the nerf and prevent missiles from targeting players, but they can still target NPCs.”
- HearYou (@ImHearYou) reacts disappointed: “So the nerve is useless.”
- BIG W MANS (@dripince) writes: “They never made any major changes to the missiles, I knew that was a lie.”
And after? Rockstar Games is expected to further weaken transport with a new patch. While trolls and mourners are common in most online communities, they’re particularly annoying in GTA Online.
Even though fans are currently disappointed with the nerf, Rockstar Games can still improve this with a new patch, so it’s very likely that the final word hasn’t been said yet. You can find out more about what the Summer 2022 update for GTA Online has to offer in our regular preview.
