Only Rockstar Games remembers the GTA 6 setting. But that doesn’t stop fans from dreaming. A favorite pops up in the air on Reddit.
NEW YORK — Fans have been buzzing since early February as what many have thought for years has finally been confirmed: GTA 6 is out in the open. Developer Rockstar Games finally officially confirmed it, and many fans were thrilled. He has since remained silent on the next GTA title. Fans are now discussing possible cities in which GTA 6 can compete.

GTA 6: Tokyo, Mumbai and even Dubai: fans voted on Reddit
Vote on Reddit: The fact that fans don’t have any official information about GTA 6 doesn’t stop them from speculating when the time is right. Reddit is of course the good side for this, so the next setting on the forum is already being voted on. Fans vote in which city GTA 6 will race. You can choose between these cities:
- Tokyo
- dubai
- New York
- Bombay
- conquer by force
- Other
Interestingly, one of these cities was already a circle in the Grand Theft Auto series. New York is probably known to most fans as Liberty City from GTA IV. It’s unclear if Journey will return there in GTA 6. However, there are rumors that Liberty City is set to be added to GTA Online.
This is the city fans want: You can vote on Reddit until April 14. But a favorite is already on the rise. Japanese rental company Tokyo received the most votes ever. A total of 5,700 people have voted so far (as of April 12, 2022). New York ranks second, just behind Tokyo, followed by Others.
GTA 6: Fans want Tokyo as next environment – realistic?
Are these cities realistic? Of course, fans can and do want a lot from the next Rockstar Games game. According to fans, GTA 6 may be the pastime of the century with these eight features. And many fans also have wishes for the circle, which just might come true. Many gamers want a Vice City setting for GTA 6, and previous rumors point to this setting as well.
So how realistic are wishes for GTA 6 like Tokyo, Dubai or Mumbai? Well, the New York-based developer probably won’t meet those requirements. So far, the Grand Theft Auto series has only been released in the United States, with the exception of a DLC set in London. However, that was the absolute exception and hasn’t happened since its release in 1999.
The New York promoter will likely use another US city as an apartment and possibly stage it. So the Plan America leak is still there. He claims that GTA 6 fans will have problems not only in the United States, but also in Latin America.
