As many players in the Fortnite community noted on Tuesday, IO Blimp left the Daily Bugle of Interest (POI) and dove into the ocean.
The map change was removed for about a week from Epic Games, which announced an update to The Battle for Daily Bugle version 20.20 that invites players to the forefront of POIs to help reduce the resistance against IO forces. As reported on Reddit, now that the Opposition has won the Battle of the Daily Bugle – there are now background stations for the Armored Battle Bus and a series of towers in the POI – what remains of the Daily Bugle IO Airship . Now on a map of East Coast waters, it is submerged in fire and partially in the ocean.
The wreckage is definitely worth exploring, as there are two new high value IO coffins and random items floating around the massive wreckage nearby.
Unfortunately, there’s no way to enter a falling pillow, which is a bit anticlimactic considering nothing else has been destroyed yet.
In a short time, many players have been talking about flying the New Ghost flag on The Daily Bugle, which is a bit confusing because it’s not one of the seven after all.
Epic Games announced on their latest developer blog that the fight against IOs in the Battle of Condo Canyon continues.
