Lightsabers will return to Fortnite in Episode 3: Season 2, according to Leaks

Star Wars Lightning Swords can be traced back to Fortnite Chapter 3: Season 2 if the latest leak is plausible.

Fortnite has seen many Star Wars transitions lately, from Stormtrooper AIs to Boba Fett cosmetics. Star Wars fans have found a second home in the world of Fortnite. Season 2: One of the most popular features debuting in Season 1 is Light Swords.

Added in 2019 as part of the Live at Risky co-op event, Lighting Swords act as a ferocious weapon that can damage anyone close enough and capture them with a single blow. The light sword swings twice, strikes three times for less damage, then strikes to deal the most damage. They can also be used to block damage for around 30 shots.

Lightsabers were only occasionally unlocked, they were curved after the end of Episode 2: Season 1, then briefly reopened in Episode 2: Season 2. Since then, Light Swords have not been found anywhere go. But that seems to be changing.

According to Fortnite data miner LunakLixThe four traffic lights from Episode 2: Season 1 are expected to be added to the game, although it’s unclear exactly when. The reveal took to Twitter to show off some lightsaber-related play in Episode 3: Season 2.

All of the weapons above have the same damage stats, the only change is the weapon’s appearance.

The leak didn’t specify when the gun would return, only saying it would be released this season. It’s possible that the weapons weren’t unlocked in time for May 4, Star Wars Day.
