As summer draws to a close, Fortnite players are eagerly awaiting the next seasonal celebration – but is Fortnitemares returning in 2022?
Fortnite has no shortage of spooky Halloween-inspired costumes and cosmetics for players to enjoy, and there’s no better time to celebrate them than fall. Usually held in October, many fans are waiting to see if Fortnitemares will return in 2022 as the Halloween season approaches.
Last year, players were able to purchase two outfits from the Universal Monsters set: Frankenstein’s Monster and The Mummy. As the weeks went on, more and more characters and outfits debuted in the Item Shop, including The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes, Ariana Grande spaceship, and more.
So can we expect the same celebrations to happen this year?
According to a famous Fortnite leaker HYPEREX On Twitter, Epic Games has already started preparing for the event in Save the World, which means there’s a good chance it’s coming to Battle Royale.
Epic Games has yet to officially confirm the return of Fortnitemares. Given the event’s popularity and how much Fortnite likes to hold limited-time events, there’s a good chance we’ll see it return to Battle Royale next month.
