The Fortnite-inspired mode Among Us, Imposters, is vaulted. Here’s what you need to know.

Epic Games today released update v21.50 for Fortnite Season 3, Season 3. With the start of the end of the season, there are still a number of changes coming to online multiplayer. One of those changes includes removing, among other things, playlists copied from Epic Games, a mod inspired by the popular board game.

In a v21.50 blog post, Epic Games said, “We have removed impostor playlists as our teams are focused on other Fortnite projects.”

“We would like to thank everyone who trusted, betrayed and, of course, joined Peely Party during its limited release.

Epic Games released the mod in August last year, but it was quickly criticized as Innersloth’s game Among Us wasn’t immediately inspired. On Tuesday, October 12, 2021, a few months after its August 17 debut, Epic Games tweeted that Fortnite’s Social Breakdown Impostors game mode was truly “inspired by the Innersloth among us.”

Fortnite’s Imposters mode follows the same format as Among Us, which has a third-person perspective rather than the top-down view of the original.

As of this writing, it’s unclear if Epic Games plans to remove the mod at a later date.
