The Combat Assault Rifle is back, but how long remains unclear.
Epic Games announced the return of the beloved combat AR in the v21.20 patch notes this morning. Along with other changes in the patch, CARs are now rare.

The Combat Assault Rifle was last seen earlier this year in April, when it was brought back for a few days to allow players to vote between the MK-Seven Assault Rifle. MK-Seven ultimately prevailed and CAR was sent back to the basement.
Mastering a combat assault rifle like any weapon means shooting fast enough while maintaining control. According to the Fandom Wiki, aiming with the aiming stick or mouse can help users recoil the gun.
At the moment, it’s safe to say that Fortnite is currently oversaturated with Assault Rifles. While the Striker Burst Rifle, Ranger Assault Rifle, and Hammer Assault Rifle are currently available, it’s interesting that they’re making a comeback right now.
Perhaps due to the similar firing pattern, the CAR is preferable to the Striker Burst Rifle. After all, CAR has voting history as it first appeared after the v18.20 update in Episode 2: Season 8 and beat Combat SMG.
