Fortnite’s weekly challenges range from super easy to slightly complex. Without a vague explanation, players may find themselves running around aimlessly trying to figure out how to finish.
One of the missions this week seems to have caused confusion in the community: exile or destroy the Runaway Boulders with ammo. Players may have seen stray rocks strewn across mountain peaks. They are ridiculously large rocks sitting on top of a pile of smaller rocks. Once freed, they will roll over the rock and take out anything that gets in their way.

So how do you remove one? And what is a melee weapon?
The solution to this quest is quite simple: players can destroy Runaway Boulder by hitting it with their rowing/gathering tools. Yes, it really is as simple as that. The game likes to confuse players from time to time by calling melee weapons to vehicles that we know don’t appear very often in Fortnite.
There are a few other weapons that will likely get the job done this season of Fortnite, like Darth Vader’s lightsaber, but for convenience, we recommend just picking it up.
