Fortnite soon available in FPS like Warzone?

After No Build mode, what if Fortnite’s next big change was the location of the camera? Epic Games Battle Royale has always existed as a third-person shooter (your camera is placed a few meters behind the character you are playing). But according to very serious data miner Hypex, the studio is currently looking at the game in first-person.

Enter the big leagues?

Most of the very large shooting licenses use first person shooters. This game mode really creates the feeling of a character embodiment and therefore highlights the tension felt during gameplay. CoD and Counter Strike, to name a few, rely heavily on a first-person approach which gives the game more immersion and tension. Fortnite with a third party has been a little different so far, but things could change soon.

A real challenge for the Fortnite ecosystem

Fortnite FPS will be a bold challenge for development teams. The Epic Games game is somewhat incompatible with the first person view, especially in the mode where constructions are allowed. Visually, a high-end FPS box fight can be totally confusing. Additionally, Fortnite relies on the appearance economy and will make the first person view (mostly) invisible for this aspect of the game.

In any case, this change (which, by the way, will a priori be optional) is not yet planned. Hypex remembers that these were only the first stones of the project. This has time to refine it until the servers are gone.
