Retro-inspired collaborations could be funneled into Fortnite in the form of Pac-Man. Here’s what we know so far.
Can IP really reach its cultural peak without Fortnite’s collaboration? Yes, but Epic Games doesn’t care. Pac-Man could be the latest icon of the Fortnite treatment, according to a recent leak.
the leaks are coming @HYPEX, @oo0Sheena0oo And @Lucas7yoshi from Twitter. According to a post by Lucas7yoshi, the Pac-Man collaboration will take place in Fortnite on June 2. Info (and correction) from the Japanese Pac-Man website @YukoBrando_), where the section reads:
“The collaboration between Fortnite and Pac-Man, the online games sold and distributed by Epic Games, is decided! Pac-Man patterned items will appear.

Judging from the limited information, it looks like the puzzles could be a form of cosmetics decorated thematically around Pac-Man. The hero recently celebrated his 42nd birthday. In response to an official Pac-Man Fortnite account, a message from his Twitter account read, “I’ve had many adventures and many different looks in 42 years! It’s my birthday and we’re having a party. the whole week!”
The Japanese Pac-Man website doesn’t have much information beyond the event’s start date of June 2, but we’ll likely start revealing a few more details as the date approaches.
