Balloons are finally back on Fortnite Battle Island after being arched for almost three years – at least for now.
The v20.30 Fix update was officially released on Tuesday, and the latest donation station has spawned balloons for the voting period. From now until Monday, May 16 at 11:59 p.m. ET, players will have the opportunity to find and test both Balloons and Shield Balloons scattered throughout the island. Shortly after this trial period ends, players will be asked to vote for their favorite picks by contributing to the Funding Station bars. The first item that reaches “100% funded” status will quickly go to the loot pool, while the second will be returned to the basement.

As of press time, Fortnite players can find bubbles, rare chests, and box drops, as well as ground heists. As they are rare on their own, they are not expected to spoil very often.
First released in Fortnite in Season 1, Balloons provided players with a simple yet vulnerable way to hover over the map and protect themselves from falling.
Players can collect and use three balloons at the same time, which raises or lowers players depending on the number.
Finally, for those of you who enjoyed The Balloon Episode 3, Season 2, be sure to follow the instructions on how to vote once the Donation Station trial ends on May 16.
